Bird ID for Beginners In-Person

Do you enjoy watching birds and want to work on your identification skills? We will discuss some of the keys to bird ID: looking at size and shape, colors and patterns, habitat, behaviors and sounds. This is a multimedia program that will introduce you to the birds local to our area and will help you become more confident at identifying the birds you see every day. Presented by Jim Van Gelder. Jim is an artist, avid birder and naturalist living in Warwick, NY. He is the Field Trip coordinator and Board Member at OCAS.
