Open Mic Poetry In-Person

Join us for a poetry reading with Heather Christy-Robinson followed by open mic!

Heather Christy-Robinson is a poet currently earning a Master’s degree in Creative Writing at SUNY New Paltz. Her poem, “Sweet,” was selected for the Calling All Poets 25th Anniversary Anthology. She is president of the Balmville Grange #982 in Newburgh, which holds poetry readings and other community events. She is also owner/director of The ScienceThroughART.org Program for children. Her poetry, like her life, is a mosaic. She is in the process of writing her memoir, in which her poetry is interspersed and explicated. Prior to this, she taught at SUNY Orange, where she was fortunate to meet, work with, and be inspired by the late Sandy Graff and the DAMD Poets.
